The 4th edition of FUTSOC USA got its start during the latter part of 2010 as it entered a combined group of quality U13 and U14 players in the recent USYSA / FYSA / SFUYSA regular season, playing as SFE-FUTSOC. This group will serve as the next great selection of players to carry-on with the exciting and nationally recognized tradition of the previous three editions.
The first phase of this 4th edition, part of the renowned player development program FUTSOC has become so well known for nationally, had a most successful season as the team finished off the season with an important victory and a couple of ties against top tier teams in the 2nd division. More importantly, the individual players developed a tremendous sense of tactical play, high level conditioning, and furthermore, technically improved beyond expectations.
What gives this success so much meaning, is that half the team were comprised of 12 year old players and the other half of the players were of the 13 age level, playing against teams which were comprised of primarily 14 year olds. Obviously, our boys gave way to greater motor skill development and larger, faster players, but did overcome these disadvantages with great cunning and outstanding ball control and possession. Never was this more evident, than during our outstanding 2-2 season-ending match against Weston FC at Vista Park, in a match which was supposed to have resulted in a lopsided defeat by our team.
Congratulations to our fine group of boys...we are all so very proud of you and know, that the upcoming US CLUB SOCCER tournament season and next session will have great rewards for this young and talented group!

FUTSOC USA ENIGMA U23 National Select Squad
The U23 FUTSOC USA ENIGMA National Select squad attended the FIFA / USASA National Championships in Overland Park, Kansas as one of eight (8) finalists from around the U.S. representing the State of Florida as state champion and Region III as Region co-champion. This superb squad advanced to the nationals with a team comprised of some of the best talent FUTSOC USA has ever developed along with the addition of some other top level players from the South Florida area.
Ending group play with a 1-1-1 record against some of the finest competition in the country (over 300 teams were involved originally from all over the U.S.), FUTSOC USA ENIGMA completely outplayed and controlled possession time against every single opponent it faced, and was generally regarded by all present, as the finest, classiest, most sporting team at the tournament. We certainly became a fan favorite with our very traditional Latin American possession style of play, which frustrated our most worthy opponents. With a few breaks and having possibly overcome some untimely injuries to some key players at the event, we may have had even greater success..however, we are most happy with the results and the overall experience!
In the end, the team lost to eventual champion Chicago Fire by a score of 2-0, finishing in 4th place in the nation. This experience was exceptional in every regard - from facing some of the best teams in the nation, and playing at one of the absolute finest pure soccer venues in the world at Overland Park Soccer Complex, to the organization and management of the event by the USASA. This was a first class event which we hope to begin preparing for to qualify once again as it is held in Phoenix, Arizona next year.
Our sincerest congratulations go out to this exceptional squad, one of the absolute finest teams ever assembled in youth soccer in Florida. They are:
Goalkeepers:
Sean Duble, Felipe Londono
Defenders:
Juan Lemos, Sebastian Vallejo, Kevin Ante, Jonathan Osorio, Daniel Cardona, Alvin Quaye, Lemar Nyack, Felipe Ortega, Julian Montoya
Midfielders:
Juan Gonzalez, Gonzalo De Mujica, Icaro De Oliveira, Brian Cardozo, Darryl Gordon, Sebastien Ramirez, Gilbert Ruiz
Forwards:
Aly Hassan, Reginald Faucher, Jairon Moreno

FUTSOC FUTSAL 2010 Indoor League
The 2010 edition of the FUTSOC Futsal Indoor Soccer League concluded yesterday with a playoff series which will be long remembered after the season ends. The highly heralded powerhouse squad of Team Red Devils, overcame a very difficult first half to pull out an 8-7 victory in the championship match over a very tenacious Team Fiera FC opponent. Spurred by league leading scorer Honorino Landa (35 goals) - who added four (4) brilliant goals in the final match, outshined a superb five (5) goal performance by the worthy opponent's Jimmy Monsalves, allowing them to walk off with the trophy and completing a perfect 8-0-0 season. Team Red Devils was lead by the outstanding goalkeeping by the great Pedro Batista - who also was named league MVP, winning the prestigious Golden Ball, extremely tough defenders Tommy Aguayo and Diego Figueroa (absent for the final), 3rd league leading scorer Andrea Lopera, and a very talented and tough group of Jose Gonzalez, Orlando Zuluaga, Diego Rios, Victor Paula, and Dario Caldas
A quarterfinals session gave us an unexpected upset take place, as Team Fernando surprised all with a season turnaround thrashing of 10-3 over a very tough and talented Ecuador squad. Accompanying this fine team to the semi-finals were the teams of FC Fiera (11-3 winners over FDC Weston, the league's winner of the FAIR PLAY AWARD), Jogo Feito (16-12 winners over a defiant Team Douglas), and lastly, eventual champion team Red Devils.
A most noteworthy mention goes out to the FDC Weston Heat (FAIR PLAY AWARD winners this season) and all its players who consistently demonstrated the true ideals of excellent sportsmanship, clean play (least number of fouls in a season with only 25 fouls) and general solid performances, upholding to the highest level the very essence of what competitive play should be at any level. Sincerest appreciation and congratulations to this fine and worthy team and group of quality men. Runner-up for this award was the Champion team Red Devils, demonstrating that quality talent and quality fair play can form part of one same squad.
To all remaining participants, thank you for your commitment to our young league, which concludes only its second season. My extreme gratitude for your high level of play, consistent respect of the Laws of the Game, your adherence to our own complementary rules and in general, your keeping on schedule every session this season. You are to all be sincerely commended and we look forward to having you back even stronger for next season!

US Soccer Announcement
Alejandro playing with US National Team v. Honduras
In February of 2009, one of our more prominent and talented youth soccer players - midfielder Alejandro Bedoya, was called up to the US MNT for a friendly match against Honduras at Home Depot Center in Carson, California.
Alejandro Bedoya, who is presently initiating his professional career with Örebro SK of the Swedish First Division was a starting member of the famed FUTSOC USA ENIGMA Elite and Super-Y teams early this decade, where he led the team to signifigant victories and gained valuable experience under the guidance of Technical Directors Fernando Ramirez, Gustavo Rivera and Jose Tamayo.
After positive reviews of Alejandro Bedoya's preformance against Honduras, there seems a very strong posibility that this fine young man may earn a permanent spot on the team that travels to the 2009 World Cup in South Africa. We wish our alumnus great success and good fortune in the years to come.

Premier Elite Pre-College Training
The 2nd annual Premier Elite Pre-College training sessions were carried out this summer for two groups numbering 21 total players. As usual, the primary objective of these sessions is to prepare both incoming freshman to college and existing college players for their upcoming soccer seasons. The ever-growing number of participants is due to the great success experienced in previous years training, which have prepared these fine elite players to the highest levels of physical conditioning available.
The most effective and modern techniques in the areas of speed training, power speed training, agility training, and endurance training, were applied over an eight week period with two sessions daily, under aerobic and anaerobic conditions. The student athletes demonstrated great resolve, dedication and total commitment to the program with stellar results and great complements from all their coaches.
Congratulations on your great success... see you once again next year!
